Why is the church the family of God? Because we have the same Father-God the Father. This is why we’re sharing food with those in need today.
Even though the earthly illustration of a father falls short in many ways, it’s a good illustration of God the Father’s attributes. Many of us have a distorted view of a Father. We can learn how to be a good Father to see how God deals with his children. We can also learn about God by seeing how Father’s should deal with their children.
God finds joy in his children. He provides for our needs but he also corrects and disciplines us.
